This Privacy Policy only applies to the information collected on the Website located at www.RipCode.com (our “Site”). By visiting the Site, you accept the practices described in this Privacy Policy notice.  The terms “we” and “RipCode” both mean RipCode, Inc.

Overall privacy statement
Since we gather certain types of information about our users, we want to help you understand the terms and conditions surrounding the collection and use of that information. This privacy statement discloses the types of information we gather, how we use it, with whom the information may be shared, and how to correct or change it. Please note that the Site contains links to other sites, and those sites might have privacy policies that differ from this Privacy Policy.

1. What anonymous information does RipCode collect?
Your Internet browser has a feature called “cookies” which stores small amounts of data on your computer about your visit to our Site. However, cookies tell us nothing about who you are unless you specifically give us personally identifiable information. You do not need to have cookies turned on to visit our Site, but certain features may not be available to you if you disable or delete cookies created during your visits. You may elect not to allow cookies to be collected by selecting certain options on your browser.
RipCode also automatically receives and records information from our servers and from your browser, including your IP address, the time, and information about the page you requested.
We may use tracking technologies for a variety of purposes, including but not limited to:

  • keeping count of return visits to our Site;
  • accumulating and reporting anonymous, aggregate, statistical information on our Site and advertisement usage for RipCode’s own use and/or summary distribution to third parties;
  • determining which features you like best;
  • saving your password so you do not have to re-enter it each time you visit our Site; and
  • displaying advertising targeted to your interests and usage of our Site;

2. What personally identifiable information does RipCode collect?
RipCode’s primary goal in collecting personally identifiable information is to provide you with products and services that are relevant to you. RipCode collects personally identifiable information when you provide it to us by registering or submitting one of our online forms. Once you register with RipCode.com or submit an online form, you are no longer anonymous to us.
When you register to use the Site or submit an online form, RipCode collects personally identifiable information, including but not limited to your name, organization name, email address, and telephone number. While not all of this data is required for the Site services to function, we are better able to serve you if you volunteer complete and accurate information. Users who complete the registration process are given a Site ID and can take full advantage of the Site’s offerings.
We may use personally identifiable information for a variety of purposes, including but not limited to:

  • providing you with access to our white papers;
  • providing you with an RSS feed for any updates to our blog;
  • contacting you about potential partnership opportunities if you have expressed an interest in such opportunities;
  • contacting you about meeting with a RipCode representative at an event if you have requested such a meeting;
  • contacting you regarding prior sales and marketing activities; and
  • communicating with you regarding changes or enhancements to our policies and services, or other issues regarding your account.

3. What organization is collecting the information?
When you register at the Site or submit an online form, your information is collected and maintained by RipCode unless specifically stated otherwise at the point of collection.

4. Will RipCode share my information?
RipCode will not share your personally identifiable information with any third-party advertiser or marketing organization without first receiving your consent, unless (a) we are working with other companies to provide you with information, products or services that you have requested, (b) RipCode reasonably believes that your personally identifiable information should be shared to respond to a subpoena, court order or other legal process, or (c) your actions violate the law, our Site’s Terms of Use, or threaten the rights or safety of RipCode or any person. If you use services of one of RipCode’s business partners, you grant us permission to send your personally identifiable information to such business partner. Our business partners’ use of such information is governed by their respective privacy policies. Additionally, we may share non-personally identifiable information with anyone for any legal purpose, including but not limited to with advertisers, investors, and in the course of making presentations. If RipCode is acquired by or merged with another company, RipCode may transfer personally identifiable information about you to the acquiring company.

5. What are my options?
Users that do not want to receive updates and information about new RipCode products and services are given an opportunity to opt-out during the registration process. Additionally, users who would rather not provide any of the user data requested by our registration process do not need to register with us. You can still view some of the content and use some of the services offered by our Site without registering. 6. What kinds of security procedures are in place to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of information in RipCode’s control?
RipCode uses commercially reasonable security measures to attempt to protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of your user data under our control. While we cannot guarantee that loss, misuse, or alteration to data will not occur, we take commercially reasonable precautions to prevent such unfortunate occurrences.
You are ultimately responsible for the security of your RipCode ID and password. Please take care when using and storing them. RipCode recommends that you do not divulge your password to anyone. You should log out of your browser at the end of each computer session to ensure that others cannot access your personal information and correspondence.

7. How will I know if the Privacy Policy changes?
Any modifications to our privacy practices will be reflected first in this notice of our Privacy Policy. If there is a material change in our privacy practices, we will indicate on our Site that our privacy practices have changed and provide a link to the new privacy statement.  If we are going to be using the personally identifiable information collected from users in a manner materially different from that stated at the time of collection, we may notify affected users of the change via email.

8. How can I update my personally identifiable information?
You can correct or change the personally identifiable information collected during registration by updating your user profile. This update process cannot be done on our Site.  Instead, you can request your corrections and changes by sending an e-mail to .  Currently, we do not offer users a means by which to delete completely personally identifiable information established at the time of registration.

9. What about the privacy of children?
This Site is not directed to children under the age of 13. We operate our Site in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act and do not permit registration by, and will not knowingly collect or use personally identifiable information from, anyone under 13 years of age.
