TransAct Smartstreamer

A key value-add of RipCode’s TransAct Platform is the ability to dynamically insert highly targeted, relevant video ads – ads that drive up CPM associated with video views. TransAct Monetizer performs dynamic ad insertion workflow management in conjunction with TransAct Commander, but customers will demand that ad insertion be supported for high volume stream and progressive download delivery. Today, generic streaming server appliances largely only support the delivery of statically-stitched ad and video content, and typically only do even that for a single form of video delivery, e.g., RTSP streaming.

With the continued expansion of mobile and stationary playback devices with different forms of supported video delivery (RTSP, HTTP/progressive download) capabilities, and with a movement away from batch, pre-configured video ad/video content stitching, RipCode’s TransAct SmartStreamer overcomes these limitations with an advanced video delivery server that features:

• Support for HTTP/progressive download and RTSP forms of video delivery
• Support for dynamic pre-roll and post-roll ad insertion capabilities in accord with the video playlist created by TransAct Commander / TransAct Monetizer workflows
• High performance, high concurrency video session delivery support
